Hamza Ali Abbasi was born on 23rd June 1984. After completing his studies from the USA, he came back to his hometown, Karachi. He started his acting career in 2006 from a theater play, Dally in the Dark, produced by Shah Shahrahbeeel. In the same year, he appeared in another play Bombay dreams. After that, there was no stopping. He appeared in many other famous plays like Home is where the Clothes are, Phantom of the Opera, The Addams Family, Tom, Dick and Harry in 2009, Moulin Rouge in 2010 and Bombay Dreams in 2011. In 2011, he made his film debut and appeared in a short film directed by Bilal Lashari, The Glorious Resolve. In the same year, he made his directorial debut as well and directed a short film, Mudhouse and the Golden Doll, which was about a simple lifestyle of simple people.

In 2012, he made his entrance into the Pakistani television world. He appeared in the drama, Mere Dard Ko Jo Zubaan Miley, and soon was considered the most good-looking and a versatile actor. In 2013, he appeared in the drama, Pyarey Afzal, in which he got the main lead actor role of Afzal, and due to his realistic acting and delivery of dialogues, he became the dream man of millions.
